How is the exchange fee calculated?
The percentage fee is deducted from the amount before conversion. With €100 and a 2% fee, €98 is converted at the displayed rate. Swapping currencies changes the direction of the calculation.
Is this the rate my bank will use?
The displayed provider rate is indicative. A bank or exchange office may quote a different rate or charge other fees. Refresh the quote and check its date, then compare the result with the offer you are considering.
